Here’s this week’s Wednesday Story:

Dinosaur Snowball Fight - a short story by Patrick S. Stemp and Anita Soelver

Dinosaur Snowball Fight

T-Rex always loses
When he gets in a snowball fight.
His tiny front legs aren’t long enough
To throw a snowball right.

Patrick's thoughts

Poor T-Rex.

Though, if he were alive today, he likely wouldn’t have to worry about failing at snowball fights at all.

His parents would form a group to have them banned at school and in the neighborhood because they’re dangerous and make him feel inadequate. Then all the other dinosaur kids would make fun of him because his parents ruined it for everyone else.

Maybe he should stay inside and read Harry Potter. Except some parents keep trying to get those banned too!

He would play on the jungle gym if it hadn’t been removed due to safety concerns. It’s tough being a dino kid!

Anita's thoughts

As much fun as it looks, I’ve never really been fond of snowball fights. You tend to get all wet and cold, as snow crawls down your neck and in your boots. I’ll take a book inside any day, thank you very much.

But take your kids out for a snowball fight, and let them find out themselves, whether they prefer books or wet boots 😉
