Here’s this week’s Wednesday Story:

Go-karts - a short story by Patrick S. Stemp and Anita Soelver

It would be so cool
If they shut down the streets
Once a year or every Saturday
No cars allowed
Only Go-karts!

Patrick's thoughts

I love driving go-karts but the tracks usually aren’t great. You drive around in circles a few times, hoping you and the kids don’t get head lice from the disgusting helmets. It’s also not cheap.

But letting us out on the roads and highways for a day? That would be awesome. I’d buy my own helmet for that.

Anita's thoughts

Can’t remember ever riding a go-kart, but I’m sure I would have found it a lot of fun when I was a child. Now I’d probably just be scared out of my mind 😉 But I’m all for the thought of closing down the streets for real cars once in a while, to let the kids roam the neighborhoods on bigger roads. Would be kind of neat, don’t you think?
