Here’s this week’s Wednesday Story:

Iterative Coloring - a short story by Patrick S. Stemp and Anita Soelver

Iterative Coloring

I’m coloring a picture of a boy,
coloring a picture of a boy,
coloring a picture of a boy,
coloring a picture of a boy,
coloring a picture of a rabbit,
eating carrots with dinosaurs in space!

Patrick's thoughts

There wasn’t really a point here. Sometimes a random thought or image pops into my head and I send it off to see what Anita can do with it.

I have noticed that these little ideas tend to come in moments of quiet or when I’m doing something mindless, like going for a long walk. Coloring or doing puzzles would also be nice, quiet activities to boost creativity – as long as the TV is off.

Anita's thoughts

I wish I could have iterated all the way to the last image, but it simply wasn’t possible. But it reminded me of lots and lots of those kinds of images I’ve seen through my life and gave me renewed respect for the artists who created them.

Also reminded me -less fondly- of endless mirrors in dressing rooms. And I hate to shop for new clothes, not to talk about trying it on. It’s the worst. Only places on Earth I like shopping is in Disneyland, Apple store online and craft shops. There, I shop with a vengeance when I finally plunge in 😉
