Here’s this week’s Wednesday Story:

Spacey Lacey - a short story by Patrick S. Stemp and Anita Soelver

Spacey Lacey

Lacey is crazy for bright ribbon and bows,
Bows and ribbon and lace.
She keeps ribbon and bows in her hair,
And lace around her face.
Her dress is covered in bows and ribbon,
The tops of her socks are lace.
Her shoe tops are covered in ribbon and bows,
You could probably see her from space!

Patrick's thoughts

Sometimes I don’t really know where these come from.

Something about bows, and ribbon, and lace got stuck in my head.

It happens.

Anita's thoughts

I’ve always been a tomboy myself, so hard to imagine girls who like all the girly clothes.

Also hard to make this work very well in black and white. Had it been in colors, I would have made her the human version of a big fluffy marshmallow! 😀 That’ll be for another time. She might be the only thing keeping us from an alien invasion – they just couldn’t handle all the bows, lace, and ribbons, so they went back home.
