Here’s this week’s Wednesday Story:

Winter on the Couch - a short story by Patrick S. Stemp and Anita Soelver

Winter on the Couch

During lazy afternoons in Winter
We snuggle on the couch
With sweaters on our backs
And blankets on our laps
Watching holiday movies
And having mid-day naps

Patrick's thoughts

I’m part bear. Wake me up in Spring. I used to watch a ton of movies, but now I see only one or two a year. I will get lost in a good video game, though. And afternoon naps are awesome.

Most of my time these days is spent in the home office, reading or working. Either way, staying indoors from December through April is the best way to spend Winter.

Anita's thoughts

I love my couch during the winter. It means I’ll revisit all 8 Harry Potter movies, see some great series (this year I’m watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer again) or just play games on my phone or reading books on my Kindle while I’m buried in cats.  Hot cocoa will make it even more perfect <3

And hey! You can do Christmas shopping from the couch too, you know. Ultimate win.
